Celebrating Excellence: 2025 IAPST Award Winners

At the 2025 International Symposium on Sex Therapy, the International Association of Psychosexual Therapists (IAPST) proudly recognized three outstanding professionals whose work has made a significant impact on the field of psychosexual therapy. Each year, the IAPST Awards celebrate innovation, service, and scholarly contribution within our global professional community.

This year’s honorees exemplify excellence across multiple dimensions of the profession:

📱 Digital Media Award

Bat Sheva Marcus received the Digital Media Award for her outstanding contributions to public sexual health education through her Instagram platform, @drbatsheva. Her accessible, engaging, and thoughtful content has empowered thousands to better understand their sexuality.In response to receiving the award, she said:

“It’s GORGEOUS!!!!! I truly appreciate it so much. You know, when you do social media, you always wonder if anybody’s actually listening. So it especially meant a lot.”

📖 Publication of the Year

Dr. Caleb Jacobson was honored with the Publication of the Year Award for his groundbreaking book, Sex Therapy with Religious Patients: Working with Jewish, Christian, and Muslim Communities. This important text offers a nuanced, clinical, and culturally sensitive guide to working with religious clients in psychosexual therapy—an essential contribution to both academic and applied clinical practice.

🙌 Outstanding Service Award

Tommy Underhill received the Outstanding Service Award for his dedicated behind-the-scenes work in supporting IAPST’s growth and operations. From managing logistics to ensuring projects run smoothly, Tommy’s contributions have been integral to the association’s success.
