Chris Wilhoite Elected Chair of the IAPST Ethics Committee

During this year’s Annual Members’ Meeting, IAPST members voted to elect a new Chair for the Ethics Committee, following the appointment of former Chair Dr. Sue Frantz to the Executive Committee in late 2024.

We are proud to announce that Ms. Chris Wilhoite has been elected as the new Chair of the Ethics Committee.

Chris, the founder of Littleton Couples Counseling in Littleton, Colorado, has been an active member of IAPST since its inception. Her recent contribution to the book Unifying the Field of Psychosexual Therapy reflects her ongoing commitment to advancing the ethical foundations of our profession.

In accepting the role, Chris shared:

“Ethics are the backbone of our profession. I hope to create a committee that enhances the profession of psychosexual therapy in a way that honors people in all parts of our world.”

Her leadership begins with a clear agenda: finalizing the committee’s policies and procedures and setting a foundation for responsive, inclusive, and principled ethical governance.

We also take this opportunity to extend our deepest gratitude to Dr. Sue Frantz, whose leadership was instrumental in the creation of the IAPST Code of Ethics. Her contributions continue to guide the ethical integrity of our work.

Please join us in welcoming Ms. Christine Wilhoite to her new role. We look forward to the vision and clarity she will bring to one of the most vital pillars of our organization.
