Maintaining Certification

Certification through the International Association of Psychosexual Therapists (IAPST) is not a static achievement. It reflects an ongoing commitment to continued education, ethical accountability, and engagement with emerging research and clinical innovation.

To maintain certification as a Certified Psychosexual Therapist (C-PST), individuals must remain Certified Members of IAPST in good standing. This includes:

• Paying annual Certified Member dues according to the applicable fee tier
• Upholding the IAPST Code of Ethics
• Completing a minimum of five IAPST approved continuing education (CE) credits each year, earned through the monthly Virtual Colloquium, attendance at the Annual International Symposium on Sex Therapy, or an IAPST approved CE provider

Certified Members who do not maintain membership in good standing may not continue to use the C-PST credential or represent themselves as currently certified by IAPST.
