Who is this membership for?
- Full Membership is intended for professionals who are actively practicing psychosexual therapy but who do not currently hold, or have chosen not to pursue, certification through the International Association of Psychosexual Therapists (IAPST).
- Applicants must be legally qualified to practice psychosexual therapy, psychotherapy, counseling, psychology, social work, medicine, or a related profession within their jurisdiction and must demonstrate a commitment to the advancement of ethical, evidence-informed psychosexual practice.
What you will need to complete your application
- Professional Qualifications — Confirmation that you meet the legal requirements to practice within your jurisdiction; current Curriculum Vitae (CV) or résumé
- Professional References — One letter of recommendation from an IAPST Certified Member (C-PST™), or two letters from qualified professionals familiar with your clinical work and professional conduct
- Statement of Alignment — A brief statement (approximately 250–500 words) describing your professional background, interest in psychosexual therapy, why you wish to join IAPST, how your values align with IAPST, and how you hope to contribute to and benefit from membership
- Professional Commitments — Confirmation that you have read and agree to abide by the IAPST Code of Ethics; confirmation that all information provided is accurate and complete
