Supervision Support
Every supervisor needs support sometimes.
Supervision is demanding work. Even the most experienced Registered Supervisor will sometimes want guidance, whether on the administrative side of supervision or on a difficult situation with a clinician in training. Asking for support is part of doing the role well.
The International Association of Psychosexual Therapists (IAPST) offers Supervision Support so that Registered Supervisors can consult the Association directly, in a private, one-to-one session focused on their own supervisory practice.
What you can bring to a consultation
- Completing the IAPST Supervision Agreement and supervision logs correctly
- Applying the six-to-one ratio of clinical hours to supervision hours
- Meeting the requirements for observed clinical work
- Preparing the IAPST Supervision Final Review
- Working through a difficult or stalled supervisory relationship with a clinician in training
- Any question about applying the IAPST Standards of Supervision

Support Package
$1,200 USD
Ten one-hour consultations, to be used within 12 months of purchase.
Saves $300 compared with ten single consultations
Your remaining package hours are shown in your supervisor account, so you always know how many you have left. Unused hours expire 12 months after purchase. IAPST may extend that period or respond in exceptional circumstances.

IAPST is committed to giving every Registered Supervisor the guidance and support needed to fulfill the role with confidence and integrity. Supervision Support complements the professional judgment of the supervisor and does not replace it. Responsibility for each supervisory decision remains with the Registered Supervisor, and all supervision remains subject to the IAPST Standards of Supervision and the IAPST Code of Ethics.
