Student Membership

Who is this membership for?

• Student Membership is intended for individuals who are currently enrolled in an accredited or otherwise recognized educational program related to mental health, behavioral health, medicine, sexuality, or psychosexual therapy.
• This membership category is designed for students who are actively preparing for a professional career in psychosexual therapy, sexual health, counseling, psychology, social work, medicine, education, or a related field and who wish to engage with an international community of professionals dedicated to advancing excellence in psychosexual care.
• Student Membership provides access to professional networking opportunities, educational resources, conferences, mentorship opportunities, and exposure to the evolving field of psychosexual therapy and sexual health.

What you will need to complete your application

• Academic and Professional Documentation — Current Curriculum Vitae (CV) or résumé; confirmation of current enrollment in an accredited or recognized educational program
• Professional References — One letter of recommendation from an IAPST Member in good standing, or two letters from qualified professionals familiar with your academic, professional, or clinical work
• Statement of Alignment and Interest — A brief statement (approximately 250–500 words) describing your educational background, interest in psychosexual therapy or sexual health, why you wish to join IAPST, how your goals align with IAPST, and how you hope to benefit from and contribute to the Association as a student member
• Professional Commitments — Confirmation that you have read and agree to abide by the IAPST Code of Ethics; confirmation that all information provided is accurate and complete
